Poor WIFI signal

We are finding that iplayer buffers a lot on wifi devices.

Have done a speed checker, and with a wire we are getting around 60mb download speed, but wirelessly when sat next to the router we only get around 20mb which seems a big drop. I assume this is not normal?

We have a BT Home Hub 4.

Re: Poor WIFI signal

have you split the 2.4/5ghz networks as that may help  I would also select the channels manually probably using a wifi analyser on your mobile to find neighbours wifi channels and select a less congested channel

Re: Poor WIFI signal

Thank you for taking the time to reply. We do have devices on both 2.4 & 5ghz but both only give 20mb speed.
