Re: Port forwarding Hub 6 ip cameras

Welcome to this forum.

Port forwarding does work on the home hub 6.

Please can you display the results from this page, so I can see the settings.

http://192.168.1.254/0000012803/gui/#/firewall/portForwarding

Its best to assign a static IP address manually on the cameras, and make sure they are outside of the home hubs DHCP range.

Make sure uPnP is disabled, as that can cause problems.

Use 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.63.

Here is an example screen from a HH6 that I manage, it shows a computer on 192.168.1.32, an IP camera on 192.168.1.31, and a NAS on 192.168.1.60.

Re: Port forwarding Hub 6 ip cameras

Your screenshot and your port list do not match up.

You have duplicate IP adresses, and both cameras have the same IP address.

Can you set the IP addresses on the cameras to static adresses within the range I mentioned, and then alter the port forwarding rules to match?

You need to disable uPnP, as its allocating port 7777 to a different devoce.

I would start again, disable uPnP, set the IP adresses manually on the cameras, make sure they are different, then add the port forwarding rules.

Finally

Also, can you visit https://www.whatismyip.com/ip-address-lookup/ and make a note of your public IP address.

Then go to this page http://192.168.1.254/0000012803/gui/#/broadband/internet

and see if its the same as your broadband IP address.

If you go to http://www.canyouseeme.org/

does it show the ports as open?

Re: Port forwarding Hub 6 ip cameras

this is ridiculously difficult for a novice..it was so easy to set up before hubs 3-5: set both cameras to different ip addresses set external ports to 81 and 91 still doesn't work **bleep** BT

Re: Port forwarding Hub 6 ip cameras

The default gateway on the camera is wrong, it should be 192.168.1.254, not 192.168.1.1.

The DNS settings are also wrong, the must be 192.168.1.254, the same as the default gateway.

It will not work with your settings. Check both cameras.

It does work, but you must have all the settings correct, its not a home hub or BT issue.

Change those settings on the camera, and try again.

Also, on your image for the second camera, you are showing port 80 not port 91.

Make sure the first camera port is  set to 101, not port 80.

Edit:-see my next post
