Re: BT and coronavirus (Covid-19)

Go to solution

I have been put on lock down and all work is suspended until further notice. I am also self employed and am waiting to be contacted about the help that Government have put in place.

What can I do ? I am very worried and due to fact I could be high risk having had bowel cancer I have become quite depressed. Please advise.

Hi @Liam-Barrett Liam-Barrett welcome to the community and thanks for posting, these are very trying times for everyone and I hope you stay safe. As part of our ongoing dedication and support to our customers we are going to be making some short term changes to better protect those impacted by the coronavirus.

From 20th March we are no longer suspending or barring a customers account for non-payment until the end of June, so I hope this may help in the short term.

If this is the case why was my 6th April bill still suspended. My services were cut off on the 16th April. I had no previous bills due they were all upto date. I was hoping that the Bt not suspending was going to start so that I could pay my bill slightly later on the 18th April when my first furlough payment was made.
I’ve seen numerous posts stating bt aren’t Suspending accounts yet they obviously are 🤷‍♀️
