Smart Hub 2

I've had to upgrade from Hub5 to Smart Hub 2 due to a fault on the 5 model. Since then one of my devices a wifi security camera will not connect to my hub. I was advised by the camera people to disable the 5GHz option also the IPv6 setting, and disable the ULA. I've done all this including updating the firmware of the camera and the App version to add the camera to the router is also the latest version. When I examine the technical log I get the following after the date and time stamp:
Lan IPv6 Neighbour Discovery events. NEIGHBOUR_SOLICIT
Can anyone cast any light on what I need to do to solve my issue. Thanks in advance.

Re: Smart Hub 2

If you have the new smart hub 2, I did not think you can  disable the 5GHz band?

Re: Smart Hub 2

Which particular issue would that be, you haven't said.

You can't disable IPv6 on the SH2, the log entry is just the hub soliciting to find IPv6 devices on the network.

Yes, you can. You just can't give the 2 bands different SSIDs

Re: Smart Hub 2

Well sorry thought I'd given enough detail in my question? I The issue is I can't connect my device to the new hub. Camera says WiFi failed. The log shows what I stated in my question. Thanks

Re: Smart Hub 2

Have you given the camera a static IPv4 address outside of the DHCP range of the hub on the camera itself.

The new hub will have a different wifi passkey to the old hub.

Might be worth factory resetting the camera and setting it up from scratch.

Re: Smart Hub 2

Yes I have input the new passkey and I have reset it but no joy. I don't know how to give a static IPv4 address outside of the DHCP range of the hub on the camera itself. There is limited access to the settings I'm afraid. Looks like I'll have to either ditch the camera or buy a new Hub 5 router. Thanks for trying to help anyway. I appreciate it. Keep up the good work.

It would be much better to spend your money on a different router which is much easier to use.. Prices start at about £40 for a single band wireless unit, and about £70 for a dual band one.

Unless you really must have 5G wireless, the single band one is a better option.

Re: Smart Hub 2

@pjkpjkenne  There are a couple of other things you could try before getting a different router.

Although limited to 3 channels on the SH2, you could try changing channels manually to see if that helps, you could also try Mode 2 and Mode 3 in the advanced wireless settings.
