I have been advised that our service will transfer to Fibre tomorrow. I have not yet received our new hub. Will I still be able to receive broadband with the old hub?
Which BT Home hub do you have?

BT Home Hub 2.0 (sorry, should have said that at outset)
Do you mean the original home hub 2 that was issued many years ago for ADSL?
Or the new BT Smart Hub 2?

Not the one in the image. It will be the ADSL one.
That is the ADSL one, it just shows the optional hub phone. How long have you had your BT Home hub, as the original home hub 2 was issued before 2011.

That I cannot be certain off as we have moved a number of times. There is a good chance the one we have was issued around April 2011.
In that case it will be the original one.
That cannot be used on fibre (VDSL). I assume its not a Fibre To The Home (FTTP) installation, and just an upgrade of your existing copper connection.
You have two options.
Either wait for the new home hub to arrive, or get hold of a TP Link W9970 ADSL/VDSL router locally, if you are able to. Argos (572/8882) in Sainsbury may have one, if you are allowed out.

Many thanks for your help, much appreciated. Upgrade of existing connection. Router will hopefully arrive tomorrow.
It depends on Royal Mail, as that is how they are sent.
