My wife's registered email address is user@btinternet.com. She sends a message from this address but it arrives at the destination as user@btopenworld.com, an address she has never had. This has only started with the change to webmail, whch is another story altogether. Btyahoo worked fine.
these are both one and the same email addresses and are interchangeable. the btopenworld address probably from when she first joined BT for broadband you should be able to change the reply to address in BT Mail
Why has bt dredged up an old address for the new webmail? A bit confusing for receivers address books. Can it be migrated back to @btinternet.com only? Thanks.
it is not really old email address as it is always active and in conjunction with your btinternet address
check bt mail and there should be a setting for 'reply to' address when sending emails where you should change to btinternet
Cannot find that anywhere. Please give walkthrough. Sender wants details on receivers email as her name or @btinternet.com.
Solved that myself. Using Microsoft mail it refers back to any email sent rather than only the contact list.
