Wrong time on BT smart monitor

Hi, looking for some help with my smart monitor. Whenever I look at the notifications for movement detected, the time is about 7 hrs ahead. When I look in the settings of the app it says I'm on GMT+1, but movement this morning at 7am was recorded at being at 1pm this afternoon. Can't see how to fix this and would appreciate any help!

Hi,

Its worth checking the time zone settings on the device your using to connect to the smart camera.

Ive had a play and adjusted my phones time zone settings. Turned off Automatic date and time and Automatic Time Zone and set it to a country for example 1 hour ahead of UK time.

I then triggered motion detection on the Smart Cam and the motion events captured were time stamped 1 hour ahead of UK time.

Hi Martin, 

 

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, although changing the time zone on my phone did change the time on the output from the smart monitor, when I changed it back to GMT+1 it was still 5hrs ahead of the current time.

Hi, were having this same issue! No idea why the time keeps changing. I tried switching the camera off and back on, which seemed to have fixed the issue briefly, before it changed again.

 

The temperature also seems to be 4degrees higher on the monitor than it actually is!

Hi JCsmartmonitor,
This will be fixed in the next BT Smart Controls App release. There is a new BT smart Controls App available for download V3.0.0, this may address the issue of the wrong time stamp against events for some devices. Please let me know if this fixes the issue?

Hi - unfortunately it doesnt, my phone updated yesterday and it still has the wrong time and wrong temp, the issue also exists on other devices.

The update as not fixed this issue. Any other advice? Really frustrating when you pay so much for a baby monitor....

Unfortunately this issue has been reported by a number of users, and there is no work around for this. This issue is being worked on and will be fixed in the next release of the Smart Controls App.
Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused with the time stamp of events.
