cancelling landline

Hi,

I want to cancel my mum's landline. I  have her phone number, but not her a/c number. Is this possible?

Also is there a BT email (instead of the freefone #) I could use to perform this operation?

There is no email, it has to be done over the phone, by the account owner only. The account number will also be needed, and this will be shown on the phone bill.
