I've never managed to get the update to work either.
The Hotspot seems to be working fine on the current software 2.3.0 (it's a very early one), so I've given up trying.
Hi,
Have you checked the firmware version after getting stuck at this screen?
It may be that the IP address changes after upgrading so it cannot refresh your page.
I'm just trying it now, updating the firmware to 2.6.3 from 2.6.2.
When I updated it to 2.6.2 last time, I firstly did it remotely via VPN which didn't work and seemed to create error messages in a different language. Though it did work when I updated it locally connected to the LAN.
At the moment the firmware upgrade to V.2.6.3 seems to be stuck in the same place.
EDIT: After a manual restart it's reporting a firmware version of 2.6.3 now.
Hi jac,
From 2.6.2, if you are connected directly to the device using an Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, you can connect to it using http://mybtdevice.home (saves you finding out the IP address). By doing this it shouldn't get stuck there. I think it's caused by the IP address changing then when it refreshes the page, it no longer can connect.
Thanks, I've set all our routers, access points and servers to have a static IP address so that local DNS record sometimes (on the odd occation) doesn't get resolved. Though works fine if the device has a DHCP IP address.
All seems to be updated anyhow to V.2.6.3
Latest 2.6.4 firmware is available but it does not have an .img extesion.
Instead, it has a .4 extension.
Looks like the spotty geek in the office has made a typo when updating the website's download page.
I've emailed them so it should be fixed soon.
I hope.
