FTTP Drop Cables used in the network

Just out of pure curiosity how many fibre cores can BT fibre optic drop cables have inside

Domestic drop cables are typically only one core but they do offer an ONT with dual or quad ethernet ports which can allow additional separate services to be provided.

The only reason for multiple cores would be for resilience rather than extra services, multiple services are carried over a single fibre. However, I would have thought that it would be highly unlikely that a single core would develop a fault requiring a second core to be utilised. I.e, if the drop cable was physically damaged, all cores would be damaged.
