When to complain to ofcom

So I'm now approaching two years in rental accommodation with bt being my provider. Was kind of hoping I'd receive some positive news, but all I've got is notification that my bill is to go up. As I've been paying over £30 for nearly two years now, with a maximum download speed of 3.4 Mbps, and live in a built up area, with fiber installed most places surrounding my road,  when would be an appropriate time to launch a official complaint looking for compensation for bt breaking USO laws. Cheers

I think you may find that if you are able to get a 4g mobile signal that delivers 10Mbps download speed you will not be eligible for the USO as it is being met by the mobile network.

Have you actually made any enquiries into the USO scheme? Seems to me you're just moaning & looking for compo without doing anything, if you have though what has been said?

Exactly what ‘laws’ do you think have been broken ?, it’s not the case that someone with a sub 10Mb Universal Service Obligation download speed , simply waits for BT to do something or start paying compensation,

you are at liberty to ask BT for a USO compliant connection , that will provide 10Mb download or better , have you applied ?, once your application is made , AFAIK , it can be 12 months for BT to come up with a solution and another 12 months to ‘build’ whatever network  is required to get you 10Mb , before you have a claim for compensation, plus as already advised if the mobile 4G service in your area is capable of providing the USO speed , you are already USO compliant, and BT don’t need to do anything as far as the 10 Mb download USO is concerned.
