Unfiltered spam

Past 3 months, using BT app on android phone, I've had ridiculous amounts of spam emails, all the same sort, some with no subject.  They all look roughly similar types.  BT is not filtering them...I get most in my inbox and a few in my spam.  I don't understand why BT can't tell what is spam, ever after I diligently report the ones in my inbox.  Blocking them doesn't help.  Has anyone else notices this.

Re: Unfiltered spam

I try to be a good netizen and report spam to report@phishing.gov.uk  and to BT, but it seems a waste of time.  For weeks I've been getting emails entitled:

update Now Available 12/07/2023 from a user using smtp.talktalk.net with SMTP and it is telling me my BT service will terminate on 18/7.

It is a little bit clever because the body of the email is a JPG looking like text and has a clickable link.

Even so surely they should be identified as spam and even blocked en-route by now.

I've not clicked on the link to see if the site referred to has been removed. Hopefully it has.
