Too many messages (1.3.2.3) from 81.178.219.115

Go to solution

Hi all

I've started getting these when using my mail program on my Mac laptop.

I've cleaned out the sent file and inbox on the laptop and done the same by logging into may BT mail account using safari and deleted the bins too and still no joy.

I can't send any email via web from my iPhone or laptop

Anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

Paul

Hi @Paulkk

Thanks for coming to the community.

Do you see the same thing happen when you are trying to send on both WiFi and mobile data?

Are you finding it is just happening when trying to send an email to one address or is it all emails?

Well deleting 1000 emails last night may have helped.

i do wonder if having my home cctv system sending me emails causes issues as I send them to the same email account that I send them from (maybe I should change that to my iCloud account)

email service returned to normal both via Wi-Fi and mobile

have a great weekend everyone

I wish that this had been solved

im back to getting the too many messages error- so frustrating to be able to receive email but not send

I can’t send on iPhone using the mail app (4G or Wi-Fi) or by using safari to use webmail

Any ideas as to how to fix?

Morning @Paulkk

I am sorry this error has started happening again for you.

Could you try removing the email account from any browser or device that you have the details saved on and then try setting up or logging in again.

Details for setting up can be found in the BT Email server settings

Let me know if this works for you?

Leanne.
