Full Fibre 900 - poor speed at Mac mini over wifi & ethernet ?

Please can somebody help ?

Having had BT Halo 3 + including Hybrid connect and wifi disk installed approx three weeks ago ,download speeds on my 4 year old Mac mini are not what they should be . Over wifi and ethernet using a cat 5e patch cable I'm struggling to hit 100 mbps ??

Any help would be appreciated but keep it simple I'm not a computer whizz by any length thanks

Check all your cables as 100 Mb/s is the speed limit of fast ethernet. Fast ethernet only uses 2 pair of wires in a cat 5/6 cables.
