Hello clever people.
I’ve been reading the forum posts for a while.
I have recently moved in to a new build with BT fibre 900.
it is ok but there are definite drops around the house ( and no signal to speak of in the garden).

I’m hoping that two images have appeared.
one is showing what I think confirms I have FTTP?
The other is the new setup I’ve ordered.
I don’t need digital voice at all.
do I simply unplug the bt hub and replace is with the deco hub? I’m guessing I need to log in with a BT username and password?
then I’m hoping it’s a case of plugging in the others and playing ?
Yes to both questions.
Set the Deco WAN port to PPPoE username homehub@btbroadband.com and password BT
That’s for the quick reply.
I don’t know if what I’ve gone for is overkill, but I’ll let you know how it goes
Well spotted
Unless it's been changed you can use any prefix to @btbroadband.com
Yeah, I think that's still the case
Just a thought:
is it PPPoE ( Ethernet) just from the ONT to the hub?
I don’t want Ethernet cables from hubs to APs and am hoping it’s Wi-Fi to those points
ONT LAN --> main Decco's WAN.
I see you do have a patch panel though. Do you have a ethernet ports in other rooms?
The decco supports a WiFi backhaul between each node but you can also do ethernet backhaul too.
The old saying, if all else fails "check the Instructions".
