Skip through a recording

Go to solution

Hi everybody I have just noticed that if you want to skip through a recording you can use the remote numbers 1 to 9 to skip through the recording and 0 takes you back to the start rather than you slow or fast forward.

Hi @ROUGHTONG

Thanks for posting. I hadn't realised this myself but will certainly give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

@DavidM

That feature was introduced a few years ago with the idea being that each number is a percentage of the current recording , so 1 jumps 10% , 5 jumps 50% etc.

This replaced the ability to jump to a time within the recording and was not overly well received.

One significant downside of it is that if you accidentally touch a number you jump. Happened to me quite a few times.

Thanks @TimCurtis

I rarely get to touch the remote in our house. It's usually hidden so the kids watch what they want instead of dads 'boring' programs.

Cheers
