I have a Master NTE5 Linebox ADSL Adaptor with just my router plugged in

Hi Welcome to the forums

If you post the full stats from your router

For homehub – type 192.168.1.254 into your browser

Navigate to ADSL Settings or use the A-Z at the top right of the home page and scroll down to ADSL Settings and click on it

Click on More Details and then post the full results.
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

also you could try the hints given by poster RogerB in this link they may help http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-in-Home/Poor-Broadband-speed/m-p/14217#M8397

Then someone here may be able to help and offer more advice.

looks good but no real speed all day If i reset it it says the same except the connection time data etc.

Which hub are you using we also need the attenuation and noise figures to get an idea about your connection

Well I got some more time to try ang get a ADSL service. here is my routher stats

I rembered last time this happened and my line speed went down the bt guy came and changed the cable on the wall outside my house on inspection today I was surprised that he had not used a new cable, he had used a 13 year old cable that ran around the back of my house to a 2nd line i once had connected for working at home years ago.

connection looks good and as fast as you get interleaved on adslmax

can you run btspeedtester and post the results to check your profile and download speed
