Strange Wireless Connection Message

I'm an XP user and my wireless is set to WPA2 security enabled. I recently switched to BT and installed a Home Hub 3. Whenever I View Available Wireless Networks on my laptop, it correctly shows my wireless network with WPA2 security enabled. eg suppose my SSID is Fred But, often the Notification Area at the bottom right of my screen will show my wireless connected to Fred (unsecured). This never happened with my old Netgear router. Now, I'm worried. Is my wireless connection encrypted securely or not?

Re: Strange Wireless Connection Message

We checked this with the Hub guys, and they advised the following:

If you had to enter the wireless key when you first connected to the hub, then the connection is secured.

If you did not have to enter the wireless key when you first connected then the connection is unsecured.

To check this, please remove all your preferred networks and create a new connection to the Hub.

Hope this helps.
