I'm unable to connect to an existing vpn connection since BT Infinity was installed a week ago.
Can anyone suggest a solution.
I've tried pinging the address of the vpn but it won't connect.
I'm running XP SP3 on an HP laptop.

Have you tired 'clamping' the VPN port?
For the HH3 goto http://192.168.1.254/index.cgi?active_page_str=pag

VPN was setup in Windows ( WAN Miniport - PPTP).
I have a HomeHub 2.0 via an OpenReach modem ( Huawei EchoLife HG612)

I did manage to connect one time after disabling url auto complete for IE8 ( as suggested in another forum post)

Check your status for Web Address Help - http://preferences.webaddresshelp.bt.com/selfcare/
If it shows that you're enabled, make sure the blue dot is in disable, click save and try your VPN again....

Uninstalled Webroot Internet Security - vpn now working ok.
Already have McAfee Internet Security installed so looks like a self inflicted problem !
I'll just stick to Webroot Spysweeper from now on as a back up to McAfee.
