Before January of this year i have had no issues with my BB with a lot of times close to my cap of over 70mb download. This year however i have had nothing but issues with my internet slowly getting worse more so my upload latency ranging from 72 - 1231 with a average of 453. My main down and upload haven't been that great either more so this month with not reaching my minimum speeds of 50. Intermittent speeds, packet loss and high upload latency. This year alone i have had 1x Router replacement, 1x Master socket replacement, 3x Openreach engineers, 3x Sub contractors, 1 EE tech engineer and this week another Openreach engineer coming out. For what it has probably cost BT to send engineers out to my home is more than enough to pay for my internet package for life. Whats worse i get told by BT customer service there is issues with my connection to then be told by OR engineers there is nothing wrong. There is either something going on with conflicting software that BT use over what Openreach use. This or either i have been put on a IP throttle management list or as a hole its been added to the packages, something the BT have said they would never add into there service. Even if i leave unless i go onto full fibre which isn't fully out in my area yet i will still face the same issues as all copper lines are owned and least out from BT.
Hi there @lmMac
Thanks for coming to the community.
Has the engineer visited since you posted on the community? If so, what was the outcome from the visit?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.
Yes they have and yet again im having another engineer been sent out on Monday next week. It got to the point i will be leaving BT after been with the company for well over 10 years.
It was a Tech engineer not a cube engineer
A Qube engineer mainly deal with external faults, but also do come into your property if the fault is found to be your end.
A Tech engineer is mainly a engineer that is for inhouse issues they also take notes of how your setup is connected together i.e. master wall socket to router then router out to devices and to see if there is any split joins in solid connections. Basically to try fault at consumer end.
As a person who was a Civil Engineer for the sister company a few years back, hand on heart wanted to get this issue resolved. But since Jan this year like i said in the initial description what has been done so fare including the visit i had this week that couldn't solve the issue and was told they didn't have the correct equipment and another engineer was book for this Monday coming. That's 9 Engineers to many and 5 month to long to resolve a issue that I've still had to pay full price for.
Edited sorry the Qube Engineers is more the fancy term for the field side of the company they are both technically the same type of engineer just more of a title and are trained in different fields of the job.

A Qube engineer is a third-party engineer working on behalf of openreach or BT.
