Hi All. I want to replace my HomeHub-3 with an OpenWrt-One connected to my existing Openreach Modem( NGA ECI-CPE-MODEMS TYPE 1B, model B-FOCuS V-2FUb/r Rev.B).
I need to confirm the router configuration details for my BT Broadband ADSL connection.
BT technical support could not supply any information except 'username = btinternet@btbroadband.com'.
I have been trying various unsuccessful modifications of examples found here https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/isp-configurations
Any thoughts appreciated - thanks, null.
Solved! Go to Solution.
With the ECI modem all you need on the router is the username "bthomehub@btbroadband.com", password "BT" and a the connection type set to PPPoA or PPPoE - on most (not all) exchanges, either will work! Everything else is handled within the modem.
Crimliar - that worked, brilliant, thanks - null.
Good luck with the setup. After a great deal of research, I'll probably head down the OpenWRT route myself (I have a test rig already), but it's quite a learning curve!
