Re: Two BT Hubs in use simultaneously!

Yes, I'm aware of that problem. I only wanted to test out the SH2 for a few hours or even leave it on overnight to see whether there were any updates.
Was also interested in 'phone not configured' or greyed out but considering I don't have DV yet, that's not surprising.

Yes but be aware that repeated on and offs could cause DLM to read that as a fault and lower your speeds to try and get a stable connection.

Presumably if I turn one off before booting up the second one (latest one) that would be OK?

No. You can only have 1  homehub connected.

Two BT Hubs in use simultaneously!

Go to solution

OK, i own up. I did buy a second hand 'new' BT Smart Hub 2 from eBay for £25 or thereabouts, in preparation for the eventual day when BT send me one officially for DV.

I have configured it with the same credentials as my current Smart Hub Home 6, whatever it's called. What I would like to know is whether it is possible to have both in action at the same time, as I have a spare extension socket where I could plug in an ADSL cable and power it up.

Would there be any problems or interactions having two on the same ADSL  feed?

Have I overlooked some glaringly obvious reason why I should not?
