Hi folks, we get a download speed of around 46mbps with our fibre broadband, but upload is somewhere around 6mbps - it's causing issues with working from home and uploading files while my son is gaming. Other than turning off his game(!) is there anything I can check to see what our 'best available' upload speed is? I'm sure I was getting at least 11mbps before switching over to BT fibre.
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
you would not get 11mb up speed on adsl
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

your connection time is only 20hrs is that due to router dropping connection or manual reset?
can you check for line noise dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
I did a manual reset yesterday, but the connection dropped a couple of hours after anyway so the 20 hrs was from the dropped connection.
I've checked for line noise, thanks for that, but can't hear any noise at all. I haven't got a corded phone, but nothing audible with my single handset cordless. No extensions plugged into the socket, just the single phone and BB. I've ordered a new filter to see if that makes any difference, but I would imagine that only helps if the line is noisy?
