Adsl to fibre 1 changeover.

Go to solution

I am currently using a tp link vr2100 modem on my adsl connection but changing to fttc next week. Can I just leave my to link modem connected for the changeover or should I connect the smarthub 2 (at least for the 10 day training period)?

As the VR2100 is a dual ADSL/VDSL router you can just leave it connected.

You will need to change the config from a PPPoA connection to a PPPoE connection though.

From the dropdown menu the only options are bt adsl or other, the only way to change pppoa to pppoe is to select other, is that correct?

Is there not a BT VDSL option?

When your service has been changed over next week, I would factory reset the TP link and then try the wizard. It might auto detect the VDSL signal rather than ADSL

@mike101 Just had a quick look at the online Emulator. If it doesn't auto detect BT VDSL, use 'Other' and these settings.
