Asus DSL-AC68U Router

Hi there,

I've had wifi coverage problems recently which have been rectified by installing  tis Asus router. However, my VDSL speed has dropped from around 35 Mbps to 25 Mbps.

Is this likely to settle over the next few days, or have I set up the router / modem incorrectly?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

@sdhuk

First thing to do is post an image of your connection stats - System Log -> DSL Log.

We can then take it from there.

@TimCurtis

Thanks for this.

The connection seems to have been a little more stable over the last day or so, but I'm still about 5Mbps slower down than I was with my HH5. Unfortunately the connection remains as slow now if I switch back to my HH5.

Here's the screenshot:

Re: Asus DSL-AC68U Router

Your line has been banded by DLM due to instability.

It is capable of 60Mbps and getting 35Mbps

Is there any noise on a quiet line test, 17070 with a corded phone preferably in the test socket.

Re: Asus DSL-AC68U Router

@sdhuk

What concerned me was the 5mins connect time.

Hopefully you'll be able to leave it connected without restarts and the speed will recover.

I've added an image of my DSL settings if that helps you.

Re: Asus DSL-AC68U Router

Thanks again for this.

I've adjusted these settings to correspond to the ones you are using:

Rx AGC GAIN Adjustment
UPBO - Upstream Power Back Off

I guess I just have to wait and see if things improve now?
