I have just purchased the BT 4600 Quad handset for my parents as they need phones in all rooms.
one of the handsets has a blank screen but still functions.
I have seen on the forum that this is not an uncommon issue.
I really don’t want the inconvenience of having to repack it all up and take it back.
We only need one handset ??!!
Did anyone resolve the same issue ?
Have you tried removing the batteries in the faulty one, for a couple of minutes, as it may need a hard reset?
Ok I’ll give it a try but from the other threads this hasn’t worked and it’s what you expect brand new out the box.
I’ll try it though! 🤞🏻
See if the screen flashes when you first replace the batteries. It could be that the display contrast is incorrectly set.
If not, try the product helpdesk, as there may be a way to reset it, when you cannot see the display.
I have the same phone, so if you want to try a handset reset, then I can give you the sequence of buttons to press, to get to that option.
Or even get to the contrast settings, as it may be they just need changing.

Ok great 👍🏻
Actually, as one of your other handsets is working, you can reproduce the steps needed to either reset the other handset, or change the contrast to a higher level. Level 1 is the lowest, so you could try level 5.
Steps.
Left soft key (Menu)
Down 6
Left soft key (OK)
down 2 (Display)
Left soft key (OK)
That takes you to the contrast settings.
Mine says level 3
Use the up key to increase the contrast and see if the display becomes visible.
If the screen was black, then decrease the contrast.
