BT Call Guardian

I use a BT Call Guardian system. Although my mobile tel no is held in its database, it still interrogates me asking for my name and a # entry before connecting me. Can ay one tell me Why? 

My mobile is actually in the system twice, one logged as a mobile number and  the other as as Home number.

Try deleting both entries, then call your home from your mobile. When you get the announce message, chose the option to always allow the call. That will but an entry in the directory, which you can then edit. Make sure you mobile number is actually showing on the phone display.

Sometime just deleting both entries, then just adding a single entry with your mobile details, can fix the problem. 

Make sure that any entry in the directory has both the name and the number stored, as a blank name will also cause issues.

thanks, trying this made me realise that I have my mobile caller ID switched off, thus no surprise I do no get through!
