Then you have the correct master socket. The broadband socket will accept both an RJ11 and an RJ45 (Ethernet).

If you plug your RJ11 cable into that socket, it should fit into the smaller portion of the socket, and click into place, its RJ11 compatible.

Then connect the other end of the cable to the RJ11 socket on the home hub.

What does it say on your broadband order, does it say standard broadband or fibre 1?

Did you check for dial tone on your phone?
