BT Mini Connector kit and Broadband Extender Flex 500 kit comparability

We have set up BT Mini Connectors to get a wired connection from the hub to our tv. We have a BT extender flex 500 which I’ve been trying to connect to the mini connector but to no success. Can these two devices connect to each other or do I need to buy another mini connector?
