My BT MT992 G Fast modem has failed.Tried 30 mins off power but lights do not even flicker when power restored. Dead as a dodo so as part of G fast system I have no internet. Need engineer and replacement.

Are you a BT Broadband customer?
The MT992 modem would not be used for BT Broadband, as BT supply the Smart Hub 2 which replaces the modem and router. I believe the MT992 would have been supplied by Openreach not BT Retail.
If you are a BT Broadband customer, you need to ask BT to send a Smart Hub 2. as a replacement. They would not replace the modem.
@Keith_BeddoeThe MT992 was used for BT G.Fast when it was initially released. As you say though it has now been superseeded by the smart hub and would not be replaced.
@Salty1No need for an engineer, just call in and ask for a hub to be sent out.
Hi,
No I am not a BT Broadband customer and the modem was installed by BT OPENREACH. As a former electrician I got my multimeter out and traced the fault to failure of power supply adapter. I will go back to my broadband supplier to arrange for replacement.
BT Openreach no longer exists.
Openreach is now run as an independant company as per OFCOM rules.
