so hub has just updated to this anyone know what this firmware brings to the party?
Just got this firmware update yesterday, out of the blue...?
I'm on fttc., and on a waiting list for fttp. Existing hub has a digital voice port which is taped off.
The biggest visible change on the HomeHub pc dashboard is an option for future use with fttp.
not seeing anything new had the phone button on the dashboard b4
Then presumably you are already on fttp?
Have not noticed the fttp option before....In fact have been told that a new Smart Hub 2 will be required for fttp". (Seems that there are 2 Smart Hub 2 versions in use). If so, why does the fttp option show? Or have I been misinformed?
Will check again with BT.
There are definitely 2 versions of SH2. FTTC version with 4 LAN ports and FTTP version with 3 LAN ports and 1 WAN port. My firmware hasn't updated yet, still on v0.24.04.11017
Like @Ribblelancs my firmware has updated and now showing FTTP in advanced settings then information
This needs looking in to. It’s still not clear re: what the new firmware does.
My Hub has 4 LAN ports. So why is the fttp status now shown in the information display? ....as pointed out by self and @imjolly
It was not there on the previous issue.
Are the Smart Hubs 2 type A and B, being upgraded? Seems pointless issuing new firmware for type A and B, if only one version is fttp compatible.
so in addition to this new option..
everything seems to be running faster now
I’m confused, there must be 2 SH2’s. Someone reported v0.26.03.01286-BT firmware the other day.
My SH2 has Red Wan port and I have FTTP and the firmware is at v0.24 ....
