Just to let you know that I had a sophisticated scam call this morning on my BT landline claiming my router security was compromised. What was worrying was that they had -
* At least part of an outdated BT Acct No for the line
* Had the corresponding mobile contact No
* Sent a 4 digit PIN to the mobile No purporting to come from 64364, a BT No from which I have had valid PINs in the past.
Cheers
Ahado
Happened to me today. No idea how they can match up my BT landline number with my mobile number (not with BT]
That I found very worrying. A data breach somewhere
