BT Sport Ultimate.

This is a major week for Champions League football, yet there are no matches scheduled to be broadcast in 4K on BT Sport Ultimate. As someone who pays to receive this channel I'm wondering why I should continue paying for a 4K package, when the only 4K channel run by BT, is effectively off the air.

Unfortunately Liverpools home game had to be moved to Hungary this week  so thast only HD coverage.

The latest schedule shows the next matches to be on Ultimate should be:
11/3 Europa League - Manchester United v AC Milan
12/3 Premiership Rugby - Bristol Bears v Wasps
13/3 Premier League - Leeds United v Chelsea
13/3 Premier League - Fulham v Manchester City
14/3 Premiership Rugby - London Irish v Worcester Warriors

These are all subject to last minute changes, depending on circumstances.

So in order to receive 4K does it depend on which overseas country is broadcasting, or is it only available when broadcast within the UK?

Generally only available in the UK as it requires specialist equipment at the stadium - including the guys in the BT van parked up outside.

Typically it will be down to the host broadcaster  - other than the finals the standard that the host broadcaster needs to provide is HD.

Explains the lack of Champions League fixtures this week. The final will be played in Turkey, and the Europa Cup final in Poland...hmm, I wonder if Sky will be broadcasting Euro 20 games in ultra hd this summer?

Euro 2020  conclusion uk rights split between ITV/BBC  - so unless the BBC  provide some 4K broadcasts I imagine it will be HD.
