BT Sport app on Android TV - Audio

Hi there,

I have just started watching BT Sport via the Android TV app (monthly pass on a Sony). 

I've watched a couple of football matches now and the audio is only ever LPCM Stereo 2.0. I have a surround sound setup connected via ARC (Sonos Arc + Sub) and other apps running from the TV (Netflix / Amazon / Disney) all output 5.1 DD+.

There is little guidance to be found on the internet regarding this, but should I be expecting more than 2.0 from the BT Sport app?

Only BT Sport Ultimate events offer DD 5.1, with some selected events also being in Atmos 7.1.4

So, to confirm, monthly pass customers can only expect to receive 2.0 stereo?

Monthly pass customers (and all other BT Sport Ultimate subscribers) will experience surround sound (DD 5.1 or Atmos 7.1.4) on events shown on BT Sport Ultimate (when using hardware that supports it).
Surround sound is not available in our regular channels, or in any of our on-demand content.
