Yes, sadly.
I'm in IP mode here and although channel 1, 2 and 3 are switch to 2.0 - it seems most HD channels are switching to 5.1 even though some don't even use it.
ITV3HD switches to 5.1 - as do BT Sport 1, 2 and 3. No ITV channel uses 5.1.
The current recorded programmes on the BT Sport channels are not switching to 5.1 on other platforms - even though they do on some programmes.
BT Sport 1-3 are all 5.1 on BT box so it seems either the switching is wrong or the feed is wrong.
BT Sport Ultimate is 2.0 currently - but that is same elsewhere for the loop.

Interesting @scharter - it's now being claimed as having been fixed a while ago - when watching a 2.0 stream, it should be flagged as such. Are you still experiencing issues?
Typically Youview will announce in their updates what launched new features (if any) are in the release . As for faults fixed they normally only announce fixes to faults raised and acknowledged on their own community posts.
It's definitely working for me.
Bbc1 amp shows 2.0 dd+
Sky cinema (Harry Potter) amp shows 5.1 dd+
Ensure you don't have any up mixing on like dolby surround, dts:x neural or something else.
Edit: some channels still pump out as 5.1 when it's 2.0. As mentioned
I can confirm that bbc 1 is 2.00 at the moment.
difficult to find any 5.1 except for Netflix which sends out atmos still.
no atmos on prime video of course.
Still - an improvement!
@voles look for the new lord of the rings series on prime. That has atmos track.
It should pick it up
Yup, working on my box too - must have updated in the last few days.
The Accountant at 10.40pm on Wednesday on BBC1 should be 5.1.

@voles you are spot on.
Rings of power says atmos but my amp shows dolby surround still.
Netflix does atmos fine.
As does bt sport ultimate
