Keep a look out for offers - it is not much to ask to pay a little extra just for one month to receive a brand new 4K/HDR box.
When I switched it was with an offer for £1 for the first month and I got the new box.
I downgraded to the BT Sport pack only after the first month.
Thanks to all of you that replied and made suggestions. After having had BT Sport on the app only since Day 1 on 1st Aug 2013, I’m finally leaning towards getting BT TV. My preference is for the Big Sport package as it offers more than I’m currently getting, by offering a recordable wifi enabled box with most of the apps that I would want at a price that I would be willing to pay, with built-in flexibility.
@Brucemeister5 tbf the Big Sport pack does offer value for money. Remember though that's for standard def only. You'll need to order both the HD Boost for Sky channels and ultimate add on for BT sport. You get them both for a fiver
Thanks @NigelB72. I’m already paying an additional £5 per month on my app only deal to get BT Sport Ultimate. Does that mean I need to pay an extra £5 +£5 or is it just £5 to get both?
I pay £25 in total for the BT app and for full access on the new HDR box.
@Brucemeister5 it's £5 for the two but you have to order both
@NigelB72 Thanks, that’s great. When I consider that I’m currently paying £5 to get BT Sport Ultimate and also having to pay another £5 to get Boost for Sky Sports HD on NOW separately, it makes it even better. The Eurosport channels are included too aren’t they?
@Brucemeister5 they are but rumour has it that they're going in the new year
It's been confirmed that Eurosport is leaving BT TV on the 17th of January. Apparently it might stick around for longer for existing customers but nothing confirmed.
