BT parental controls

Hello

I have spent considerable time trying to get my BT parental controls to work, reading the BT website FAQs and have spent an hour talking to BT 150 about this issue. Failing to be able to help, I am asking the BT Community for help on this issue. I have read of similar issues posted in this Community.

I have set up my parental controls (custom filter) and have also followed all the troubleshooting advice on the BT parental controls FAQ pages on the BT website including taking the following actions:

- making sure my DNS is created automatically, clearing my caches in my browser history and rebooting my hub but I still find that I am able to access all the supposedly blocked websites. I have even tried blocking sites such as google and facebook by specifying individual urls in the blocked list but nothing is blocked and I continue to be able to access every site I try (gambling, alcohol sales etc despite these websites supposedly being blocked in my custom filter list).

I am accessing these websites from my home laptop and even if I use my phone and turn off mobile data, I can also access the sites via my phone. It's feels like my wifi is unrelated to my hub!

Please can you help? I have young children and want to create a safe online environment for them.
