BT8500 not handling Allowed calls correctly.`

I was trying something with my mobile so called my own number.

I got the Call Guardian message so checked what I had in the settings.

My own number (landline, mobile and by name) is set to ALLOW and VIP

Call Guardian is ON and Guardian Mode is Announce.

As far as I can see both ALLOW and VIP should not get the Guardian message but they do.

Any ideas about anything I have overlooked?

I have exactly this problem too just in the last couple of days. Noting that this post is over a year old, I assume no-one came up with an answer?

No but I have not had Call Control turned on for some time for various reasons.
