Re: BTW says only ADSL available despite FTTC cabinet a few yards from our door.

The old number you posted, was for a church (Google search). If that is still the case, then it would have to be  registered in your name, to be classed as a residential line, otherwise it would be classed as a business and you would need a BT business account which would also give you a static IP address which you would need if you were streaming to a website.

Yep, that is still the case. Then it's business line. Haven't had the order details sent through hence why i wasn't sure.

This is actually the BT Residential forum, so support is going to be a bit limited if you have problems.

There is a BT Business forum, but is not very well monitored.

It should not make any difference to the broadband availability, although there are other options available to business users, that are not available to residential users. You may have to discuss this with BT Business sales.

You will be provide with a BT Business hub, which is similar to the BT home hub, but can handle single or multiple static IP addresses, which you can then use for your website.

Thank you, Keith. Will take the advice on board. Hoping to chat with the install engineer and wait 48 hours to see if the tools update. If they don't then we'll approach it from the BT Business Sales perspective.
