Blocking Mcafee & Norton spoof renewal requests

Go to solution

Hi everyone,

I have quite a few spam addresses successfully blocked on my account, but I cannot stop the one below which I am being pestered with multiple times a day for spoof Mcafee & Norton renewals.

The "To" address is my user name followed by a gmail domain

Puzzled why this is getting through to me when this is not my btinternet.com address?

Any help appreciated in blocking these idiots.

Chris

Please remove the email address you have posted. It is against the forum rules to post email addresses and in particular spammers email addresses.

If you have a look through the forum you will find that there are a number of post relating to this and that BT are apparently working on a fix.

Hi @chrish1958   Your email address will be among the blind copy addresses. Invisible to all receivers.

Thanks, but I was puzzled as to why if it is addressed to an @gmail domain is it coming to a btinternet.com inbox?

As already explained, the only visible address will be the gmail address you can see in the 'To' box, there will be hundreds of other addresses (yours included) which cannot be seen in the Bcc box
