Broadband speed lower on my side of street than the other side

Hi,

The other side of the road has access to speeds up to Fibre 250 but my side of the street is limited to Fibre 1. Is there a reason for this dramatic difference? Hoping someone can explain why this is, and if it will ever change in the future.
