Bt MiniHub with Always On Halo - Faulty?

Can someone help, Im losing the will to live here.

Yesterday I reported an intermittent fault on our Halo Fibre Broadband. Checks were run and a fault was found away from my property. Estimates repair date Friday 30th Oct. [fault tracker now suggests might even be Monday 2nd Nov]
So, because Im on Halo and have the Always On promise, I spoke to customer service and have been sent a BT Mini Hub which uses a 4G connection.
It arrive earlier today, Ive carefully followed the instructions and it connects perfectly well. Except, I have no internet on it because I get a pop up error message telling me:

'We're sorry, you have reached your monthly spend limit'

Now given there isn't meant to be one, this was a little bit frustrating. As per the instructions, I tried both rebooting and reseting the minihub, but with no luck. Still got the fault.
Not wanting to spend half an hour or more on the phone, I tried talking to online chat first. That was a complete failure, whoever I was talking to didnt seem to understand that I get this service FOC as part of my contract.
So I tried calling. Spoke to a lovely lady, who then tried to put me through to the mobile tech department. She was having trouble as it was hanging up on her but eventually, after some 15mins on hold, I was finally able to talk to a very nice chap. I started explaining what was happening and what Id already done... and he was in the middle of telling me we would run through a few things, when....NOOOO.... the long cut off tone followed by a dead line. I was hoping, given he had my details on his screen, he might have attempted to call back, but nothing so far.

So, has anyone else had this issue, or know any way I can resolve it please, or am I back to sitting on hold and the risk of being cut off yet again? Its just all so frustrating.

The only way to resolve it is over the phone.
