Can I improve my upload speed

Hi,

I have a relative good ADSL2+ Line and recently bought a Vigor 130 modem as I was really unhappy with BT HomeHub4. After setting up and reducing the SNR, I got a good stable connection as 3db  at 22Mbps.  However my upload speed does not appear to have any gain. If anything, it is slightly slower (~50Kbps) than it was on 6db. In the past, I have randomly synced from 1Mbps to 1.25Mbps for upload (without errors or disconnections).

BT has just dropped my line from 9db to 6db as I got the line "upset" when installing my modem last week. Should I expect it to further reduce my upload SNR automatically?

Is there a way to reduce the target SNR for upload?

Is there an inverted relationship between the upload/download?

Thanks,
