Can't connect on broadband but can on 4G

I have a smart hub 2. With a few sites ending .GA I can connect via 4G but not when on my broadband network.

BT have had me turn off parental controls, web protect etc but no idea.

Any one able to help? For example, I get "this site cannot be reached" unless I connect via my mobile network. This only started yesterday. Restarting router hasn't worked either.

Note, I do not use a BT Home Hub, so the first hop is 192.168.1.1 and not 192.168.1.254.

Ignore intermediate timeouts, it just means that the node did not want to reply.

Try a factory reset of the BT Home Hub, as there is nothing wrong with your BT Broadband connection if you can access other websites. You may also like to trace the routing from your connection.

Re: Can't connect on broadband but can on 4G

Thanks. I'll do it tonight. Will I have to reconnect devices to the hub if I haven't ever changed the password?

If you are still using the default wifi SSID and password, then devices should reconnect.

See my edited post regarding tracing the routing.

Its possibly a BT DNS issue that I cannot see, as I do not use BTs DNS servers, I use OpenDNS.

Re: Can't connect on broadband but can on 4G

Factory reset has not worked. Somehow BTs settings are now blocking this site (but no others).

I connected to the site when at work today, just not on my own broadband network.

Strange! Over to our expert @Keith_Beddoe for this one. Having time on my hands, I thought I would try the said link! Same problem but then I tried Opera which has its own VPN.

This worked but interestingly for me anyway, the community site would only load when I selected it from google!

Re: Can't connect on broadband but can on 4G

I had to manually change my DNS in each device. I can now connect.
