Change network name - effect on devices

I want to change my network name. If I do, will my devices still be connected or will I need to set them all up with the new network name?

If you mean changing the SSID (the name that you see listed when you search for wireless networks), then yes all of your devices will lose connection and will have to be told to connect to the new SSID
