Channel listings & Programme recordings disappeared

I have a BT TV box. 
Channels 1-306 on the guide listing have ‘disappeared’ (ie. the channel listing starts at 307). 
Also, I’ve noticed that my previously recorded programmes have disappeared. No recordings are shown when there were definitely a number stored. 
I have re-booted the TV box and also re-tuned the channels, but to no avail. I have a strong hard wired Ethernet connection. 
Does anyone have any possible solutions please? Does it sound like the TV box is faulty?

Hi @Janner welcome to the community and thanks for posting, that's not good. All those channels are Freeview and come from your aerial rather than over the broadband. I'd recommend trying the freeview checks on this link.
