Community Activation Email not received

Hi, been trying to join this community for 3 days but haven't received the activation email. Read through various posts and finally came across one that said to use a Gmail  account. Sure enough that worked straight away. Can a moderator help me as I would like to use my regular email address not the Gmail one.

Now that you can post on the forum, if you go into the forum settings by clicking on your username at the top right and select "My settings" then go to "Personal Profile" > "Email"  you can change your email address to your preferred one.

Thanks but doesn't work. As soon as I change the email it wants to verify it again. Had to change back to my gmail account to verify again and post this reply. Hope a moderator can sort this.

Did you check to see if the verification was going into your spam folder?

Yes, it wasn't there apparently this is a known issue going back years, several posts on the subject. Surprised they haven't fixed it yet, several posts on the subject. A mod has been in touch and hopefully it will soon be sorted.
