Complete Wi-Fi black disk suggested use

Go to solution

Having upgraded to Halo 3+ I now have a black disc, but have a complete Whole Home setup, is there any use for the black disc would getting 1 or more black one from BT be of use?

What is the diagnostic process to obtain extra discs?

TIA

The black and white discs are not compatible with each other.

@mzm70

If you have a working Whole Home system, then there is no advantage at all in using the black disks, unless you plan to totally remove your existing system.

The two systems are incompatible, and will interfere with each other.

Thanks for the replies,

I was aware that the black and white discs are incompatible but wasn't aware of interference. I guess the BT Whole Home app will only allow black or white discs, I was thinking of using it as a separate SSID and let the channel sensing code work out the best frequency.

...I'll leave it in the box then!!
