Deleted emails have disappeared, settings not changed

Why have all my deleted emails disappeared, I haven't deleted them from the folder or changed any settings

I think the mails are deleted automatically after a certain time.

Why did you delete them if you didn't want them to be deleted permanently? Move them to a pending folder if you are not sure whether you want them permanently deleted.
