Dlm holding back broadcom?

Was wondering would anyone be are to help.

I have a really good zyxel vmg 8924 with the noise filters built in I wanted to use instead of my hub 4.

However my hub 4 (type A non broadcom) connecting at 3700, the broadcom unit only connecting at 2800, same as when I try a smart hub with similar broadcom chip, 2800.

They are connecting at the snr as the hub 4a.

Any idea why?

Its not DLM. Different chipsets give different speeds.

Re: Dlm holding back broadcom?

Hi, thanks for response. I am aware of the different chipsets, however the broadcom always synced roughly the same as the hub 4a, actually out performed it. It's just broadcom based now syncing alot lower than before. I have a long noisy line hence wanting to use the zyxel as it was always had very good stability and the extra noise filter and much more stable in the past than the 4a. Hub 6 always had similar sync to the zyxel, just not as stable, but both are now syning nearly a meg lower, whereas the hub 4 chipset is not.
